TCP has a long history of designing products that prioritise safety and useability for our customers.
Our tower lights provide higher quality lighting by using Prismalence lamps, which offer better colour rendering and contrast. This allows workers have better reaction times, to more easily identify hazards, and reduces the likelihood of slips, trips and falls.
Poor lighting often causes a large amount of glare which can obscure vision and lead to errors or missed hazards. Our lamps control beam spread to reduce glare and help workers maintain visual comfort and focus. Upgrading to better lighting can help meet regulatory standards for workplace illumination and demonstrates a proactive approach to risk management.
Many of our customers report incident rate reductions and improvements in worker satisfaction after upgrading to our lamps.
All TCP light towers are equipped with AMOSS (Automatic Mast Operating Safety System) a proprietary safety feature designed to eliminate mast strike risks. Mast strikes, such as collisions with overhead powerlines or low structures hazards, pose serious threats to worksites.
AMOSS actively prevents these incidents through the use of interlocks that preventing raising the mast if the parking brake is not on and automatically retracting the mast if the parking brake is released. Customers can deploy and reposition light towers safely and confidently, knowing that AMOSS will prevent unsafe mast positioning.
TCP’s use of hydrogen fuel cell over typical diesel generators helps reduce on site risks for our customers by improving the work environment.
Hydrogen fuel cell only produce water vapour as a byproduct, eliminating harmful local emissions nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. This improves air quality for workers especially in encloser or urban sites.
Hydrogen fuel cells operate through an electrochemical process not combustion and therefore operate at far lower temperatures. This means no flames and no hot exhausts representing an ignition source on site.
Our hydrogen fuel cells typically operate at the normal background noise level of sites, reducing the noise impact compared to diesel generators. This improves worker communication and situational awareness on site and reduces the stress and fatigue associated with constant noise exposure.
Leaks from diesel generators or during refuelling can require immediate spill responses or worse contaminate soil and water requiring costly clean-up. In contrast, hydrogen is stored is sealed bottles and any minor fugitive emissions disperse rapidly into the air due to the high buoyancy of hydrogen.
Fuel cells are particularly well-suited for environmentally sensitive projects, as their clean, quiet operation avoids local emissions, ground contamination, and ecological disruption.
We recognise that deploying hydrogen solutions can present a knowledge gap, particularly around meeting regulatory requirements. To support our customers, we provide bespoke in-house DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) assessments as part of our deployment process, ensuring safe, compliant, and confident rollouts.
